After decades of playing on an old field, Hiram Johnson High School has finally opened its $5.3 million athletic field and facility, funded with voter approved bond money.

Construction crews worked over the summer and continue into the fall to demolish the site, clear out the existing grub and then build a new synthetic turf soccer/football field and all-weather surface 8-lane track that is now open for play.
