Associated Student Body

(ASB) Associated Student Body

Overview

Leadership team members of Hiram Johnson’s Associated Student Body (ASB) work together to represent the interests and goals of the entire school. Having a positive atmosphere during the school day where students feel wanted and accepted is critical to their success. To that end, members of the ASB class focus on providing engaging activities that ensure a well-rounded high school experience.

Anyone who wants to run for a position in student council or work behind the scenes is welcome to join! Hiram Johnson HS has two different types of leadership classes, with multiple sections throughout the day.

Students in ASB plan, organize, and participate in activities such as

  • Dances
  • Homecoming
  • Rallies
  • Spirit Weeks
  • Many More

0 Period Student Government

All students in elected positions are in this class along with any student who can’t fit the leadership class in their schedule. Here we conduct official business like approve spending, review club charters, and host weekly student government meetings. Students can enroll in the 0 period class AND the ASB leadership class if their schedule allows.

ASB Leadership

This class is for students who want to be involved, lead and support events, and have their voices heard. Students build personal leadership skills and teamwork experience.
